Eighth Year in Business

June 23rd, 2016

SafeAwake, experts in the sound reception technology and the tactile emergency signal generation pattern technology, both technologies utilized in its premier fire safety notification life safety device that works in conjunction with commercial and residential fire and smoke alarms with a high frequency, T-3 patterned sound alarm to alert its users to a fire emergency while they sleep, celebrates their eighth anniversary in business this month.

The SafeAwake team would like to thank all of its users, distributors, and partners in making this product available to people with hearing disabilities and especially members of the baby boomer and senior community who suffer from high frequency hearing loss.  As you all know, current smoke alarms installed throughout the USA and Canada are based on high frequency sound notification as the notification method to alert a person to a fire emergency while one sleeps.  Without your high frequency hearing, you may not know that a smoke or fire alarm is giving off its emergency sound signal to awaken you to the fire while you sleep.  Don’t be the next casualty of fire because fire does not discriminate amongst its victims.

Also, realize that you are not alone with this need for proper fire safety notification.  There are 55 million people ages 20 to 69 years of age in the USA and Canada that suffer from high frequency hearing issues and loss.  Yes, most of these people are from our baby boomer or senior population, and 10,000 people per day will turn 65 years old for the next 18 years and life expectancy continually increases.   Soon the average life expectancy may become 100 years of age.   But, in the meantime, sixty percent of the people ages 70 to 79 years of age suffer from high frequency hearing loss.   And ninety percent of the people ages 80 to 92 years suffer from high frequency hearing loss.  We have a growing fire safety notification issue here!

The SafeAwake team’s vision is for every person who suffers from hearing disabilities and especially high frequency hearing loss have a SafeAwake secondary fire notification device at their bed side while they sleep to awaken them to fire emergency when their smoke or fire alarm activates.

Thank you all for your continued support in helping us achieve that vision!

SafeAwake Makes A Perfect Mother’s Day Gift

May 2nd, 2016

It is Mother’s Day again this year! Did you remember to get her that unique present this year? Have you ever thought about a life safety device to protect her while she sleeps as a gift this year?. Well, if not, there is still time to buy her that gift that expresses your love and concern for her.

Why the SafeAwake for a Mother’s Day gift this year because:

55 million Americans ages 20 to 69 have high-frequency hearing loss;

6.5 out of 10 people 70 to 79 have high-frequency hearing loss, and,

9 out of 10 people of people ages 80 to 92 have high-frequency hearing loss.

Smoke and fire alarms in the USA utilize high frequency sound for emergency notification.

SafeAwake’s smoke alarm aid listens for the smoke alarm emergency sound signal. It then provides a loud, low frequency square wave sound notification and sends a non-continuous signal to bed shaker that vibrates literally pulling each and every sleeper from deep slumber and warning them of smoke and possible fire.

Buy your mother a SafeAwake this holiday season to provide that fire safety notification while she sleeps in case of a potential fire emergency.
